VIDEO MIXES

The Backstory

I started doing video mixes after being inspired by an incredible video mix on YouTube called The Apple Tree - Glitch Mob by Kameleon808 that a friend of mine showed me at school. Years later, I then had the means to be able to create my own. I started listening to songs from artists like Mabanua and mixes from artists like Freddie Joachim, Joe Kay’s incredible mixes on Soulection Radio and began to imagine the visuals that could go with what I heard.

I used footage sourced from commercials, music videos, film clips and trailers on YouTube and blended them together to tell visual stories and create a visual representation of how I hear these mixes and songs.

My first video mix was Patterns Vol.1 - First Flight Test, (the third video on this page), was inspired by and uses the opening segment from Freddie Joachim’s mix Patterns Vol.1 as the soundtrack.

Lockdown also gave me the time to spend creating some of these mixes, which had been on my to-do list to create for a while.

Enjoy.

I do not own the rights to any of the footage or music used in these mixes.
